In the heart of Durham, NC, I Breathe Life! unfolds the inspiring journey of Monica Daye, a survivor of sexual assault and intimate partner violence who, through the power of poetry, transforms her pain into a beacon of hope. An award-winning spoken word artist and the force behind Stand Up Speak Out-NC (SUSO), Monica advocates for change, offering healing through art to area youth plagued by domestic violence and sexual assault. A blend of resilience, courage, and the transformative impact of creative expression, I Breathe Life urges viewers to rise, stand up, and speak out against the silence surrounding these critical issues.
